​NOTHING is more hurtful and detrimental to your self esteem than the things that YOU say to YOURSELF and the way you berate yourself in the mirror

I am so fat, Hey fatty, I hate my chunky thighs, God my arse looks huge in these pants, I can’t wear that skirt because my legs are too fat, I'm ugly and worthless.,My cellulite is disgusting, does any of this sound familiar?

There is no freaking way that you would ever talk to a good friend like that, nor would you tolerate a friend saying those things to you, yet women do this to themselves EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Toxic self talk is just like junk food, if you feed your body destructive and degrading thoughts and believe you are fat and worthless then your body will respond accordingly. Also every time you say these awful things to yourself you activate your fight or flight response and your body releases stress hormones - aka your fat storage hormones.

Your body thinks you are under attack (which you are by the way, by YOURSELF!) and it will go into survival mode and store fat to defend and protect itself (remember Louise Hays theory stored fat = fear) which then encourages more self loathing and dieting and restricting and the vicious cycle continues.

The best diet you can go on is a diet from negative thoughts and self criticism. You need to purge any detrimental thoughts and beliefs and replace them with self nourishing thoughts that lift you up and inspire you.
What you focus on grows. If you focus on your fat thighs and repeat to yourself daily 'gee I’m fat!' then guess what hunny - you will be fat. You are literally conditioning your body to be fat - think about that.

Instead visualise a healthy, happy and fit you living your best life because how you see yourself is the person you will become, it is what shapes your choices and your body. When you make this mental shift you will automatically change how you chose to nourish your body and how you move your body with love.

You must stand guard as a warrior at the gates to your mind and not let the negative thoughts in and say thank you, I love you to your body instead.
