Nutritional Tip

Ingredients

Turmeric is the latest trend in medicinal power herbs, this is largely due to it main active ingredient Curcumin.

Curcumin is
 anti-inflammatory and it is so powerful that it it can be just as effective as some anti-inflammatory drugs.  There is also some evidence that curcumin can boost our feel good hormones serotonin and dopamine.

Cinnamon also assists with anti-inflammatory and helps to lower blood sugar levels and regulate metabolism
and energy use.

Food made with Love has more nutritional value and heals the body
5cm stick cinnamon
 5cm stick fresh organic turmeric
5cm piece ginger
3 cups filtered water
​1/2 lemon juice
​

Method

Chop ginger and turmeric into slices or grate whichever you prefer
Place cinnamon, turmeric, ginger and water into a small pot
Bring to boil and simmer for 5-10 mins

To Serve

Pour liquid into a mug
Squeeze in fresh lemon juice
