Acusleep uses the fundamental principles of Ancient Chinese Medicine - Acupressure to help relieve insomnia naturally.

The small magnetic beads apply pressure to the acupoint or pressure points related to sleep. This stimulation along the spirit gate meridian helps restore balance in the body to alleviate restlessness and insomnia.

Instead of opting for medication, research has shown that pressure points can help with sleeping difficulties. Studies suggest
that 10–30% of people experience insomnia or other sleep disorders world wide and most are not getting the quality and quantity of sleep that they need.

A lack of sleep can affect a person’s long-term health and well-being and whilst sleep medications work for some people, they can cause adverse effects. Acusleep is a low-risk, natural sleep solution that is safe for most people to try.

Studies on the impact of acupressure on the spirit gate for insomnia have reported a reduction in the time taken to fall asleep, increase in effective hours of sleep as well as improved sleep quality

What is acupressure?
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese Medicine practice that works with a concept called Qi, pronounced “chi.” It refers to vital energy that circulates throughout the body in pathways called meridians.

Ancient Chinese Medicine theory believes that blockages in these meridians can cause imbalances in the flow of Qi, leading to chronic illness, pain, sleeplessness, and other symptoms.
Pressure on certain meridian points, they believe, restores the balance of Qi. Each pressure point has an assigned number and organ.

Acupressure and acupuncture rely on similar principles. Acupuncture uses needles to stimulate acupressure points, while acupressure relies on massage and firm touch.
